What is the need for POL?

POL is Polygon's new 'hyperproductive' native token, which will replace MATIC tokens in a 1:1 ratio. This will enable Polygon to achieve its goal of becoming an aggregated blockchain network through AggLayer.

AggLayer is a decentralised protocol that aggregates ZK proofs from all chains and enables secure and instantaneous cross-chain transactions. How should you migrate your tokens?

Normally, you would have to migrate your tokens by:

• Withdrawing your MATIC balance

• Migrating the tokens

• Depositing your POL tokens back

  
  

This process would involve paying a gas fee twice, and any platform fee, if necessary.

However, tanX eliminates all such fees for its users and simplifies the process by reducing it to a single click.

Here are the steps to execute the migration:

• Click on ‘Start now’ in the homepage banner of tanX.

• A pop-up will show your total MATIC balance; click ‘Convert All’ to begin migration. Another pop-up will inform you that the migration has begun.

• The migration process will take some time, and once it’s completed, the homepage banner will reflect the status ‘Migration Successful’. You can now access your tokens from your wallet.
